Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Reservations Executive to join our Product Bookings Department.

Who we are and what we do: 

Irish Welcome Tours is one of Ireland's leading Incoming Tour Operators and Destination Management Companies. Now in its 28th year of operation. We offer a full complement of destination management services from FIT programmes - including City Breaks, live 24/7 online booking facilities & Fly-drive tours - Group Tours - both custom and escorted tours - to a dedicated M.I.C.E. department offering full services for conferences, incentives, meetings and events.   We also have an office in California, USA and a sister company Hotels & More in London.
Our mission is to profitably provide a quality service which leads to us being the preferred provider of tourist travel and accommodation services in Ireland to the Travel Trade.
The office is a modern office with about 60 employees. It’s very busy, at times it’s pressurized but it’s always good humoured and challenging. We organise trips for staff during the year so they can get to see Ireland and stay in some of the Hotels we use.  Work starts from 8am or 9am. We are close to the M50 and a 7 minute walk to the LUAS.

Reporting to the Product Bookings Manager

Key Tasks:

Day to day handling of  individual reservations, amendments & cancellations for the UK and Ireland
Making and confirming bookings with suppliers over the phone, through Tourplan and online using 3rd party websites
Booking FIT programs for Agents using agreed templates e.g. car tours; adhoc hotels; city break hotels; tailored price lists
Dealing with ad-hoc requests from Agents, such as golfing or equestrian
Offering a quick turnaround time on all new requests
General reservation duties to include; online systems, vouchers & client documentation
Customer service – investigation of complaints/ queries from agents and following up with suppliers to get a satisfactory outcome for the clients
Communicating with clients by phone, email, social media etc
Preparing brochures, costings, new tours and sourcing imagery
Liasing with suppliers and our Accounts department on any queries
Organising fam trips
Attending sales meetings as required


IT literate

Previous experience as a Reservations Agent in a tour operator/ travel agent/hotel preferable.

Experience working with UK Suppliers preferable

Fluent spoken and written English

You must have a friendly personality, customer-focused, quick learner, good communicator, team spirit, professional, focused & result orientated, initiative, attention to detail, financially aware, flexibility

You must be available in Dublin to attend for a face to face interview.
