Job Description

Production Equipment Europe is a leading industrial distributor supplying over 35,000 products to customers nationwide.
We are currently recruiting for a Senior HR & Recruitment Manager, to work at our head office in Galway and to also work in our Dublin offices.  The working hours are 8.30am - 5.30 pm, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and run the organisations recruitment requirements
  • Partner with Functional Heads to identify capability gaps and opportunities for business improvement and personal development 
  • Integrate HR strategies to support and achieve corporate business objectives
  • Contribute as a member of the Senior Leadership Team
  • Manage the HR team to support and advise employees on all HR related matters
  • Provide advice and support, particularly at Management and Senior Management level on strategic matters, structural changes, key processes and significant employee relations issues etc
  • Ensure company needs are met through the development of a strategic approach to attracting best calibre candidates and manage the recruitment process for senior/specialist roles
  • Champion the new Performance Management process and support all managers and employees in utilising the new performance management system effectively
  • Support the Leadership team as necessary with the Talent Management Programme
  • Source and provide expert legal advice and solutions on HR related activities
  • Promote communication at all levels of the organization and continuously improve communication strategy and process
  • Organising and implementing employee development programmes
  • Streamline existing HR processes and propose new initiatives as necessary 
  • Ensure that all company policies and procedures are compliant, effectively communicated, understood and adhered to 

Skills & Experience

  • Primary Degree in HR, Business Studies or similar discipline 
  • A minimum of 5 years broad based HR experience 
  • Proven track record of working on own initiative, as part of a team, to manage complex projects to deliver clear objectives in the required timeline to the highest standards 
  • Strong presentation and influencing skills; the ability to communicate effectively at peer and at senior management level 
  • Good communication, organisational and administration skills 
  • Flexible and pro-active attitude 
  • Ability to embrace new ideas/initiatives when they arise
