Job Description
Experienced Head Chef required for busy boutique hotel in Athenry Co Galway.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining consistently high standards with food and ability to change and create menus
- Overseeing the budget and maintaining agreed targets
- Excellent knowledge of HACCP and ability to ensure the same among all staff
- Manage lead and motivate the kitchen team
- Previous ordering and costing experience
- Maintain hygiene and cleanliness standards
- Stock control and food handling
The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 2 years’ experience as a Head Chef
- Have a genuine passion for food and the hospitality industry.
- Have excellent communication skills with a fluency in spoken and written English.
- Ensure a professional and courteous service
- Food is delivered in accordance with agreed standards
- Work well under pressure and on their own initiative
- Highly motivated, hardworking and flexible
