Job Description

Aramark Food Services is currently recruiting a Chef De Partie to work on our prestigious client The Guinness Storehouse.  An excellent opportunity has arisen in this high profile site for an experienced Chef with a proven track record of achieving success in previous roles. The Guinness Storehouse has 4 areas of visitor dining, meeting rooms, a variety of unique event spaces and the capacity to hold events for up to 2000 people.

**Hours of work are base 5 days over 7 which include day time shifts and evening event shifts**

Reporting directly to the Executive Chef, the successful candidate will work within a team of Chefs in the delivery of a unique world class experience for all visitors.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all culinary dishes prepared in their section. The successful candidate must be knowledgeable in terms of culinary functions and their speciality. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To oversee the preparation, cooking and presentation of meals in their unit
  • Responsible for preparing, cooking and presenting their culinary dishes
  • To ensure that food presentation is innovative and on trend
  • To fully familiarise yourself with all company policies and procedures and to ensure the daily implementation of same to ensure that the highest standards of Food Safety and Hygiene are maintained in the kitchen and associated areas in line with current legislation
  • To ensure that any Food Safety/Quality records assigned to you are being carried out on a daily basis within the kitchen and related areas, without exception
  • To maintain a high standard of hygiene in respect of premises and self
  • As a member of the kitchen team you are equally responsible for cleaning and hygiene and that any assigned daily and weekly cleaning duties are carried out to standard
  • The performance of any reasonable task which assists with the service, food preparation, hygiene and other matters pertaining to the efficiency of the kitchen

Candidates must possess:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • An excellent knowledge of food hygiene including HACCP
  • 2 years operational experience in a similar role
  • Ability to work on own initiative
