Job Description
The main duties will be:
Prepare mise-en-place for all menus
Manage the starter, garnish or main section during service
Prepare, cook and present food consistently to hotel standards, including staff meals, as instructed by Senior Chefs
Train and develop Commis Chefs and new team members.
Ensure work areas are kept clean, safe and tidy at all times in compliance with the hotel's and industry hygiene standards
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous experience as a Demi Chef de Partie in a 4* or 5* hotel
- Have previous experience of managing a section in a busy kitchen
- Strong communication and organisational skills are a must as this is a busy, dynamic role.
- Candidates must be flexible to work varying shifts, including weekends, evenings and on occasion early mornings.
- Be legally entitled to work full-time in Ireland
- Previous pastry experience would be an advantage
