Irish Welcome Tours is recruiting for a: Junior Contracting Manager to join our Product Bookings Department. You must be a native English speaker to apply for this role.
This role will form part of our Contracting function. Reporting to the Product Bookings Manager and working in cooperation with the Contracting Director and the Contracting Administrator you will jointly be responsible for the Irish Contracting function of the Company.

We offer a full complement of destination management services from FIT programmes - including City Breaks, live 24/7 online booking facilities & Fly-drive tours - Group Tours - both custom and escorted tours - to a dedicated M.I.C.E. department (Irish Horizons) offering full services for conferences, incentives, meetings and events.
Our mission is to profitably provide a quality service which leads to us being the preferred provider of tourist travel and accommodation services in Ireland to the Travel Trade.
The office in Dublin is a modern office with about 60+ employees. It’s very busy, at times it’s pressurized but it’s always good humoured and challenging. Work starts from 8am or 9am. We organise trips for staff during the year so they can get to see Ireland and stay in some of the Hotels we use. We are close to the M50 and a 7 minute walk to the LUAS. We also have an office in the US.
This role will involve building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers on and off site and in particular sourcing the maximum amount of stock at the best possible price to meet the ever growing demand. While all products and services have to be contracted the key focus will be on hotel rooms, allocations and rates.
You must be IT Literate, proficient in MS Office, office experience, background in the tourism business ideally in the hotel or tour operator business, and hold a full drivers licence.
The ideal candidate will have a 3rd level qualification, experience in the Tourism Industry, and in particular the hotel industry, with a proven track record in dealing with suppliers (Hoteliers), building strong relationships and must have excellent negotiation skills. Professional, self motivated, numerate. Pleasant and friendly to deal with, confident and outgoing personality, quick learner, excellent attention to detail, flexible, good communicator, focused, ability to work on own initiative, knowledge of the tourism business, good organiser and financially aware.
