How To Shortlist A Job

When opportunity knocks, it’s not always the right time or place to answer, especially in today’s fast-paced world. Your job application is your first contact with the company who could be your next employer so never rush off a job application. With Jobs.ie, you can use the ‘shortlist’ option to save jobs you like the look of for later. That way if you spot something good on the train or bus, you can stick a pin in them and apply later on when you have more time.

How do I shortlist a job?

While browsing the listings, you will see a navy pin next to a job. I’s on the right hand side of a job list and at the top of a job description.

How do I get to these shortlisted jobs again?

We will save these in your account. You can access them quickly by clicking the shortlisted jobs text at the top of the page. This will take you to your personal Jobs shortlist.

What can I do from here?

If you decide a job isn’t for you, click the ‘dustbin’ icon to remove it from your shortlist.

Your shortlist will also show if the job listing is ‘Active’, meaning the position is still open, or ‘expired’, meaning it has been removed from Jobs.ie.

If you don’t remove the jobs from the shortlist yourself, Jobs.ie will tidy up and remove any expired jobs after 30 days, keeping your shortlist current and up to date. You can also clear your shortlist completely by clicking the ‘delete all’ button and start again with a clean sheet.

Once you apply for a job it will move to your applied jobs section.
