Duration & Attendance
This is a 2-3 hour Working at Heights course with a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 8 participants.
Who will benefit?
Any person who will be Working at Heights. This may include Scaffolders, Window Cleaners, Building Maintenance Workers, etc.
It is to ensure that participants are competent in all current fall arrest and working at Height methods.
On completing this course participants will have been shown
- Correct fitting and adjustment of a range of full body harness
- Energy absorbing lanyards
- A selection of fall protection systems such as fall arrest blocks
What will be covered?
- Legislation Governing working at heights
- Distinction between fall arrest, fall restraint and work positioning.
- Fall Factors, Loads and Forces.
- Suitability and Selection of Different Systems.
- Examination, Care and Maintenance of Equipment.
- Practical Wearing of Fall Arrest Equipment etc.
- Practical Usage of fall arrest Equipment etc.
- After Use Care and Maintenance of Equipment etc.
Additional Information
This Working at Heights course is held at our training facility on the Kells Road, 5 minutes from the centre of town. Free car parking, tea & coffee is provided. A dedicated eating area including microwave, fridge & vending machine is available for course breaks.
This Working at Heights course can also be offered on site at your preferred location. Please contact us to discuss.

Assessment & Certification
Participants who successfully complete this course of instruction will be awarded a Navan Hire, Hardware & Training Centre Certificate of Competence. This certification is valid for 3 years.
