Lean Green Belt distance learning program in Supply Chain Management
This practical-based programme has been has been developed by the Leading Edge Group in conjunction with University College Cork and is designed for career-minded practitioners working in manufacturing, supply chain, or related functions.
The programme provides an understanding of the theory and also the efficient application of Lean tools, practices and concepts. Expert on-line mentoring support is provided for each participant, and programme assessment consists of an in-house improvement assignment (50%) and a final on-line examination (50%).
This certification program is 13 weeks in duration and consists of three 5 credit modules, delivered at Level 7 of the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ).
The successful candidate will receive 15 credits recognised by the ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) and will meet some of the eligibility criteria for the Postgraduate Diploma in Supply Chain Management (Lean SCM Black Belt) also offered by University College Cork. Lean SCM Green Belt graduates will also receive a Professional Certification from the Institute of Industrial Engineers, Ireland (IIE).
