Occupational First Aid Refresher (FETAC Level 5)
Course Dates
This course runs for 1 day:
3rd, 4th & 5th July
Course Objectives
Participants who have completed this course will be able to:
- Demonstrate up to date skills
- Understand new developments in First Aid
- Hold a valid 2 year Occupational First Aid Certificate
Who Should Attend?
Certified First Aiders who need to re-certify before the expiry of their certificate as per the
health and safety regulations.

- Assessment, Accident Scene Management
- Circulation, Wounds and Bleeding
- CPR & AED Training
- Unconsciousness
- Fractures, Sprains, Strains and Dislocations
- Burns, Scalds, Chemicals, Poisons and Electric Shock
- Medical Emergencies, Crush and Spinal Injuries
Training Methodology
All Courses are classroom based; they are highly interactive with role-playing and practical
exercises to reinforce understanding and learning.
Additional Information
All participants must:
- Have with them their PPS number and date of birth
- Wear clothing suitable for practical work
