| Who should participate in this course? |
This course is designed to make participants aware of the various duties and responsibilities involved in running an Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) centre, whether privately or community based. The centre could be a parent and toddler group, pre-school, sessional crèche, childminding etc.

| General Aims |
This course will enable the learner to:
- Develop an awareness of a wide range of issues involved in the supervision and administration of an ECCE setting
- Comply with all legal obligations in the area
- Recognise the responsibilities of the ECCE supervisor with regard to children, parents, staff and committees
- Develop good employment practice
- Develop team-building skills to support staff and co-workers
- Devise policies, procedures and action plans
