The Occupational First Aid course is aimed at those persons within an organisation with responsibility for first response, first aid treatment in their working environment.
This is a FETAC Level 5 course and now include:
- Cardiac First Responder training in automated external defibrillators (AEDs) and
- Administering aspirin for suspected heart attack patients.
Under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007, there is a requirement on employers based on a risk assessment to have a sufficient number of Occupational First Aiders trained and deployed in the workplace.
This three day course (24hrs) covers a comprehensive range of topics to prepare the qualified Occupational First Aider to administer emergency care in their particular working environment.
