Course Objectives
To provide delegates with the knowledge and skill to be able to train others in manual handling and to be able to manage manual handling risks within their company.
At the end of this course delegates will be able to:
- List the legal duties of the employer and the employees and explain the implications of non compliance
- State the purpose and composition of the main components of the back.
- Explain the causes of common back injuries and how these may be prevented.
- Carry out Manual Handling Risk Assessments.
- Develop and plan a Manual Handling Course
- Deliver a Manual Handling Course effectively.
