With studios in Dublin and Los Angeles, LA Make-Up Academy is a dedicated training institute for make-up artist's fashion and hair stylists. Founded by entrepreneur Lorraine O'Neill, who brings a wealth of experience and a true passion for make-up artistry to the business, we aim to provide the highest standards of tuition for make-up artists fashion and hair stylists in Ireland and the US.

LA Make-Up Academy offer a wide range of full and part time modules to cater for all levels. These include introductory courses for beginners seeking to learn more about technique and application, through to a highly intensive degree course devised for those who wish to pursue a career as a make-up artist. The curriculum covers training across all make-up disciplines including shows, photography, TV, film and theatre. Our students work with top make-up brands including Mac, Bobbi Brown, Make-Up Forever and The Body Shop and avail of heavy discounts for their own purchases of these brands. Degree students also have the option to complete part of their training with a placement in London or New York offering an unrivalled opportunity to enhance their education and broaden their experience in two of the fashion capitals of the world.

Our diverse portfolio of courses now includes fashion styling and students are taught by expert tutors, who have specialist experience in all aspects of the fashion industry including styling, design, publicity and editorial. Courses also benefit from internationally recognized guest speakers.

We offer an open door policy, allowing all of our students to re-sit modules of their choice - in this competitive industry, it helps if students have the flexibility to take time out to secure work placements and seize opportunities as they arise.
