The purpose of this module is to provide the learner with:

An insight into the national private security industry.

An understanding of the duties and responsibilities of the Door Supervisor.

An awareness of the legal codes that apply.

An understanding of the importance of using agreed criteria for allowing entry to premises.

An understanding of procedures for the monitoring and supervision of persons within a premises and risks associated with same.

An appreciation of the increased risks due to alcohol/substance abuse.

An insight into intervention and crowd control.

An introduction to the causes and prevention of fire.

An understanding of recommended responses to emergencies,accidents, and injuries.

An insight into legislation and practical procedures of Health and Safety.

An understanding of the concepts of quality service and customer care.

An insight into labour relations and regulations.
The course is designed to be completed in 16 hours. Consideration is given for past experience.
Entry level: No previous experience necessary.
Written Assessment: In order to achieve this module candidates are required to complete a written assessment.
