Diploma in Forensic & Criminal Psychology

About the Course

The Diploma in Forensic and Criminal Psychology provides you with a comprehensive and professional insight into both criminal behavior and the criminal mind. The Forensics & Criminology course examines criminal behavior in depth examining the underlying causes in society, how events and experiences can shape the type of adults we later become and why some become criminals and others don’t.

Students will quickly learn the skills of criminal profiling, using numerous case studies from real life crimes and investigations. From vandalism, and ant-social behavior, through to the most serious of crimes such as murder and terrorism. The course will show how psychology can help us identify the offender. Areas covered include Crime Detection and investigation, forensic investigation techniques, criminal profiling and criminal psychology. It draws upon the disciplines of sociology, criminology, social work and the legal system.
