Advanced Editing Techniques in Final Cut Studio Pro 7 (FCP300)

Course Description

This three-day course delivers hard-to-find advanced editing and finishing techniques. Learn how to create polished transitions, fix screen-direction errors, edit multicamera projects, work with nested sequences, create fantastic effects, use filters creatively, color-correct your video, and composite like a pro. This course also covers Soundtrack Pro, managing clips and media, and working with film.

This course runs most frequently in our Apple Authorised Training Centre (AATC) in central Dublin , where each student learns using wide-screen iMacs to maximise the screen display, and is delivered by one of Ireland's most exciting editors and Apple Certified Trainer.

Who should do this course?

This course is designed for existing Final Cut Pro users who want to increase their skill level through learning advanced features and efficient workflows, and who prefer hands-on and interactive instruction.

Prerequisites:
Students should have the following prerequisite knowledge prior to attending the course:

• Level One Final Cut Pro End User certification is required. Ideally, students will have attended a Final Cut Pro 101, 200 or 250 course.

• Lesson 15 - Managing Media
• Lesson 16 - Importing and Exporting

Certification:

This course covers the requirements necessary to successfully become an Apple Certified Pro, Level Two, in Final Cut Pro. Level Two attests to a knowledge of more advanced features and a deeper understanding of the application. Apple exams are €100 each.

Final Cut Pro Level Two certification counts towards the new Final Cut Studio (FCS) Master Pro certification. FCS Master certification recognizes a Certified Pro’s skills with the entire Final Cut Studio product suite. Since workflow is such a significant component of Final Cut Studio, users need certification in at least three of the applications to earn Master Certification.
