At Once Upon A Time Nursery and
Montessori School we believe in the uniqueness and individuality of each child.
Throughout the duration of a child’s attendance at Once Upon A Time, our concern
is for their happiness as well as for their physical, emotional and cognitive
development. We encourage children to develop their social skills and
independence by providing a structured, safe and nurturing environment. In many
other childcare facilities parents are not permitted past the waiting area, but
at Once Upon A Time we like parents to see their child's environment on the
daily basis and therefore operate an open door policy throughout the day.
In comparison to many other childcare facilities we are still very homely and
small, consequently all our staff get to know each individual child, their
parents, and often even extended family members and friends which leads to a
friendly, personable environment in which to leave your child. We recognise that
each child brings their own special ability to the group, and we seek to
encourage recognition and acceptance for all.
As members of the National Childcare Nursery Association (NCNA) we are committed
to setting the highest standards in quality childcare provision.
We realise that our staff are our greatest resource and are committed to
recruiting the best staff possible we identify potential within our staff
members and nurture their career development.
We are very focused on training, educational and management development.
