Frequently Asked Questions
I'm looking for a job. Where do I begin?
Jobseekers should sign up to hear about
jobs-by-email, or you can
create a CV to
send to employers.
I want to apply for jobs on jobs.ie. What
should I do?
All you have to do is go to the homepage,
search for a job, and fill in the
application form at the end of the page. It's better for your sake if you attach
a CV too. Good luck with your job-hunting...

I'm not from Ireland, can I work in Ireland?
For people from within the EEA there are no restrictions on where you can work,
except that it's easier to get a job in a call centre speaking your native
tongue than anywhere else. For people from outside the EEA, the restrictions are
getting tighter. Go to www.askireland.com
to find out more.
What is your relationship with Nixers.com?
Nixers.com is our original company focussed mostly on casual labour. As time
passed demand increased for more senior level positions. In June 2003 we bought
Jobs.ie and re-launched it as a generalist jobs site.
So why is Jobs.ie better?
By default, all our jobs expire after 14 days. On most
job sites this is 60 days, so our jobs are less likely to be out of date. If you find a job on our site that is older than 14
days, that is because we have previously confirmed with the employer that
there will be ongoing vacancies.
We help employers to write job descriptions,
encouraging them to include details such as salary, company and detailed job
information.
We offer free job postings to employers with
particularly interesting or unusual jobs -- You will not see these jobs on paid-for sites.
