In Ireland, DCC HS&S, through Fannin, is a leading provider of sales, marketing, distribution solutions and other services to the healthcare sector in Ireland. Established in 1829, Fannin has a remarkable heritage of service in this sector. The company has annual sales in excess of €120m and employs almost 300 people.

The business provides a broad range of products (IV pharmaceuticals, medical, surgical and laboratory) and value added services (pharmaceutical compounding, community equipment services – asset tracking, decontamination and recycling, home adaptation).

In the last year, DCC HS&S has expanded its presence in the hospital supply sector in Britain through the acquisition of Squadron Medical Limited (Squadron), based in Chesterfield and TPS Healthcare Group Limited (TPS), based in Cumbernauld, Scotland. Squadron specialises in the procurement and supply of medical and surgical products on a just in time basis to point of use within hospitals. These businesses provide value added distribution services to healthcare manufacturers and hospital trusts. Squadron, TPS and Fannin are working together to accelerate the development of DCC’s Healthcare’s business in the hospital supply sector in Britain. Squadron has annual sales of approximately £40m and employs 40 people and TPS has annual sales of approximately £30m and employs 70 people.
