Elverys Sports was established in 1847 and is the oldest sports store in Ireland. Following a take over by Staunton Sports in 1998, Elverys Sports have expanded from a single store operation to 55 stores nationwide and is the leading specialist sports retailer in the Irish Republic. In 2009 Elverys expanded their golfing range and signed a franchise agreement with Nevada Bob’s UK. We currently have 6 Nevada Bob’s golf shops across the country.

There are no time restrictions put on your development, it’s all in your own hands.
There is plenty of support from our in-house training and development programs. In addition, Elverys offer an in house Trainee Manager program for exceptional employees to develop into management roles. The 12 week fast track program offers Sports Advisors and external candidates with the personality and qualifications a mix of class room training, on the job experiences and project work to develop their management skills. Following completion of the program, Trainees can then progress into Assistant Management roles and further develop their management skills.
Remuneration for Managers
We offer a competitive pay and benefits package, excellent service and performance-based incentives which includes increased annual leave and bonuses, etc. We offer top rates of pay and salary varies depending on the position, size of store, candidates experience, etc. You can expect to see your career progress rapidly due to a wide range of opportunities. At Elverys, promotion is based on your performance, capability and flexibility, not just on time served in the company. In addition, each management role is linked to a store performance bonus program whereby bonuses can be earned on a quarterly basis. This bonus is paid on the achievement of various KPI’s including sales targets and customer service standards.
