Our Story
Champion Sports was established in 1992 and has grown to become the leading retailer of sports clothing and footwear in Ireland. Since the first store opened in 1992, the company has experienced dramatic growth rates in the intervening years. In 1999 Champion Sports took over the rival chain Marathon Sports and successfully re-branded the chain under the Champion Logo.
In 2006 the group was acquired by PCP One Limited, led by Managing Director John Quinn. Champion has a high quality network of 22 stores in Ireland’s premium retail locations.

At Champion Sports we regard our staff as our best asset, and they play a vital role in our success. This is due to their friendliness, positive attitude and excellent customer service. The company encourages a receptive, open working environment to develop and nurture our employees.

Internal promotion is strongly encouraged and all employees are given the training and coaching required to progress within the company. At Champion Sports promotion is based on performance, attitude and personality, and not just on length of service.

Remuneration
We offer competitive packages for our management team, which is based on position, store size and candidates experience. We offer a management bonus scheme, a generous staff discount, a social club and an internal lottery. There are ongoing incentives for management and staff.
